Building our business since 2011

We get the question all the time….

How did you two start your business relationship?

Carly and Rocco met on the job site in 2008, and found they spoke the same language, had a similar passion for design and details, and have a strong work ethic. Through these attributes, Carly and Rocco began their business career in 2011 when they decided to join forces.

Carly took on the Lead Designer role, and Rocco heading the construction and making the designs come to life.

Since then, they have built, designed and renovated countless homes and commercial projects for their recurring clients with the help our their partners and amazing staff.

Rocco and Carly have continued their success in the industry by opening up the very first Co-working space and community for Designers, Architects and builders. The Collective Workspace opened their doors in Nov 2019 with its first location in Toronto, and opened their second in Mississauga in Fall 2022.

Our spaces are a sanctuary that holds cherished memories and reflects our personality.…..”

Rocco Verrilli

Head of Construction + Co-Founder

At the age of 12 Rocco began his construction aspirations. Since then, he’s continued to pursue his interests and curiosity in construction, carpentry, electronics, woodworking and mechanics.

He created an outlet to engage his expertise in these areas professionally when he launched ASN Inc. in 1992. ASN (A Special Nest) specialized in a wide variety of projects for brands like the LCBO, GO Station, Airports, Yorkdale Mall fit-outs and more. With so many moving pieces these large projects necessitated the need for strong organization and efficient project management of custom builds. These experiences helped define the proven custom build methodology Carriage Lane Design uses today.

With over 30 years of success in the field of construction, he has fine-tuned his natural ability to problem solve, build and provide solutions to development challenges as they arise. He’s an expert at rallying teams around a single vision, as well as ensuring that everything is done right, efficiently and effectively, the first time.
